Lisa Scott is Co-Founder of Barker & Scott Consulting, a nonprofit-focused management consulting firm headquartered in Washington, DC. Her life purpose is to help nonprofit organizations working towards a just, equitable, and sustainable world thrive, so they can do even more good. A core competency of Lisa’s is her ability to engineer business processes that align teams to a shared aim and enable them to work smarter, more collaboratively, and with more joy. In her recently published book, The Transformational Giving Playbook^TM: The definitive guide for nonprofits that want to exponentially grow their revenue and impact through six and seven-figure gifts, she shares her detailed recipe for the high-dollar fundraising "secret sauce."

Before co-founding Barker & Scott, Lisa was the Director of Systems Applications for The Nature Conservancy. And before joining The Nature Conservancy, she was a Manager at Andersen, where she provided technology consulting services to dozens of professional services organizations and nonprofits. While at Andersen, she was charged with leading the DC office’s nonprofit technology vertical, which is when she discovered her passion for the sector.

In her spare time, Lisa enjoys learning to play the guitar, exploring the many wonders of Charm City, reading good fiction, forest bathing, and studying the medicinal properties of plants. .
